Week 10 Pepper Season Update

It’s been a few weeks since our last update and nothing of note has really taken place. The plants have been doing their thing inside, absorbing some nutrients and doing their best to grow, grow, grow. But, now the time has come for them to take their first steps out into the real world.

Today, the small plants got their first taste of real sun light and a slight breeze. The hardening off process is always an interesting one. Sometimes, the plants take to the outdoors like a fish to water. Other times, the outside environment is a bit too much initially and things need to be slowed down for them to become accustomed to the strangeness.

How will the 2023 plants fair? I guess, we’ll just have to wait and see. For the next week or so, the peppers will be left out in the elements for longer periods each day, until the time has come to put them into their Summer homes. I’m excited and can’t wait for this stretch to really get rolling.
